Accident to Walter Thompson,

a Wilton carpet weaver employed at the Freehold rug mill the past two months, suffered the loss of his left hand Saturday, when, while working on his loom he caught the member in the motor gears. The hand and wrist were so badly crushed that it was found necessary to amputate the hand just above the wrist at the Long Branch hospital, where Thompson was taken in the Freehold boro ambulance. The unfortunate man has a wife and two children residing at Thompsonville, Conn., the youngest child being but a week old. Mr. Thompson was arranging to bring his family to Freehold.
