By a Letter from the First Lieutenant of the RALEIGH Privateer, Capt. Cocke, (which was fitted out of this Colony, by several Gentlemen) dated at St. Kitt's, Feb. 28. we have Advice, That the Raleigh had taken a French Ship, laden with Wine, Oil, and Candles, worth above 5000 l. She was a Ship of small Force, and made no Resistance. Also a Sloop, of small Value. And carried them both into St. Kitt's. The Wine they intend to bring to Virginia; but the other Part of the Cargo they intend to dispose of there. The Raleigh was preparing to sail on another Cruise, upon Notice they had of Three rich Ships, which they were going in Search of.
