Richmond papers of yesterday, received at Fortress Monroe, contain important news. They state that the city of Richmond is threatened by the Federal forces; that their pickets were driven in on Saturday night at Bottom's Bridge, twelve miles out; that the Union troops crossed the York River Railroad, near Dispatch Station, and that a large force, consisting of three brigades of infantry, four regiments of cavalry, with twelve pieces of artillery, advanced from Talleysville on Sunday. It was supposed it was a reconnaissance preliminary to an important movement yesterday.
