LONDON

March 3d: This Day his Majesty, attended by his Grace the Duke of Rutland, as Master of the Horse, and Bruce, went with the usual State to the House of Peers, where he gave the Royal Assent to the following Bills, viz.

The Bill for laying additional Duties on Wine, Cyder, and Perry, and to raise 350,000l. by Annuities and Lotteries for the present Year, to be charged on the said Duties.

The Bill for the better Securing the Duties on Malt.

The Bill to enable the Governors of Greenwich Hospital to make Provision for decayed and wornout Seamen in his Majesty's Service, that cannot be admitted into said Hospital.

The Bill for granting 5000l. to Mr. John Harrison for his discovering the Instrument made Use of by him for measuring Time at Sea.
