PHILADELPHIA, November 8.

We hear from London, by Way of Boston, that notwithstanding the pompous and authoritative Stile in which the several Accounts of the Insurrection of the Chilians is contradicted, in the Gazetteer of August 20th, yet we have full as good Authority to say that the native Chilians have actually taken Arms against their Tyrant Masters, the Spaniards, whom they in every Battle defeated, and at length regained Possession of Baldivia, in the Manner related in almost all the publick Prints. The Spanish Minister, it is said, is instructed to conceal as much of these Particulars from the English as possible, and accordingly, with Spanish Effrontery, he hath ventured to represent the whole as a Fiction; but the Don should be told, that though he can settle Matters with the Hague Gazette, yet the publick Prints of this Country are not so corrupt as to screen from the Eyes of the People any Transaction of such Importance as the Opposition of a brave Nation to Spanish Tyranny, Catholick Perfidy, and Most Christian Cruelty, even if Spanish Gold should be offered them to suppress the Facts.
