STEVENSVILLE MAN, INJURED BY JUMPING FROM AUTO, STILL AT HOTEL.

Hamilton, Dec. 11. (Special.) Amos Buck and William Godfried of Stevensville are still in this city, the former remaining to look after his friend Godfried, who was injured yesterday in the automobile accident to the Stevensville party, near this city. Mr. Godfried, besides suffering a broken nose and wrist, suffered abdominal injuries which prohibit his removal from the Hotel Hamilton, where he was taken following the accident. The party, including Amos Buck, William Godfried, Willis Baker, Henry Flannigan, Charles Flannigan and Charles Mendel came to Hamilton yesterday to attend the funeral of A. J. White. On the return trip, something went wrong with the steering gear, and, as the big car made for a bank, Godfried jumped and was injured. In talking of the accident this morning, Amos Buck stated that no blame for the accident could be attached to Mr. Mendel's driving, and that Godfried's injury was due to the fact that he left the car. Mr. Buck's shoulder was wrenched, but he declares the injury is nothing serious. "I have always made it a practice to stick to a rig when a team is running," declared Mr. Buck, "and I think the same course applies when an automobile gets unruly. It certainly worked out all right in this case as all of us, with the exception of Mr. Godfried, sat steady and were right side up when Charley got the machine under control."
