Pittsburgh, Pa., Feb. 4.—The four story iron and brick buildings on Wood street, occupied by the Stevenson & Foster Company, printers, collapsed at 9:30 this morning. It is thought several persons were caught in the wreck. At 2 a. m. the watchman heard an ominous grinding in the walls of the structure and almost immediately after a part of the front wall fell to the street and the wreck at once caught on fire. An examination revealed the fact that the building was overloaded with type and machinery. A general alarm summoned the department and every effort is making to prevent the flames from spreading. It is stated now that two men engaged in unloading the building are missing and may be in the ruins. Several persons were badly injured by the fall of the building. The loss will reach upwards of $100,000.
