For the Massachusetts Spy.
Mr. Thomas,
I have been pleasantly amused by friends of the tea consignees giving out, they had come into the measure of the people, and were willing to give up the tea to be housed and kept under inspection of a committee of the trade or the town, till the duties were taken off. And this mighty concession was related with such an air of satisfaction, as if it was presumed that all was of course to be now easy: But these good gentlemen, are hereby informed that this is too simple a blind to deceive or divide a well advised community. We know that on a certificate of its being LANDED here, the tribute is by an agreement to be paid in London. Landing therefore is the point in view by the tools of administration; and every nerve will be strained to obtain it.
