Stop that Lying

Sucker Flat, Aug. 30. 1861.

Editor Democrat:-
Having learned from good authority that a prominent candidate on the Dixie county ticket has reported in Marysville and other portions of the county that the Union Democrats of this place, led on by myself, had united with his party, and was going it strong for McConnell, I take this method to contradict the statement. I am now as I always was, a firm Union Democrat, and myself and friends will be found at the polls working for the straight ticket.

JOHN T RIORDEN.
