WOMAN BURNED TO DEATH.

Springfield, O., Nov. 21.—Wedged behind the stove in her little home on West High street Mrs. Pruitt was last evening burned to death in a fire that also badly damaged the house. Living alone, she is thought to have been engaged in the preparation of her supper, when she was overcome and fell behind the stove, and on account of her stout build was unable to extricate herself. The fire from the stove slowly roasted her until her clothing caught fire and in turn communicated to the walls of the house and the flames bursting forth from the windows gave warning to the passersby of the horrible cremation within. The victim was aged sixty years and was without family.
