MISS EUFAULA ROGERS
CROWNED MISS HOWARD
Attractive Miss Eufaula Rogers was crowned Miss Howard during resplendent coronation ceremonies at David T. Howard High School Wednesday. Principal F. W. Sullivan crowned the young student.
Her "Majesty's attendants were Misses Helen Brown who was "Miss Howard" of 1955-56, Annette Price, Charlotte Mize, Charlotte Lawrence and Linda Jamerson. Lovely ladies of the court were Misses Katie Reese, Willie Pearl Wilburn, Carolyn Gaither, Minnie Heard, Vivian Shivers, Beverly English, Edna Griffin, Deloris Riggins, Jo Anne Griffith, Lillian Harris, Joan Dorsey, Vivian Harris and Nancy Steele.
Misses Josephine Kay and Barbara Harper were court pages, and Riccardo Jordan and Norman Thomas were the trumpeters.
Gentlemen of the court were Juan Thomas, Alvin Arnold, Melvin Burke, Horace Roberson, Allen Spence, Madison Morris, James Boyd, Ronald Butler, Herbert Bridgewater, Thomas Stephens, William Penn, Adolphus Wiley, O-.
Randall Lewis, John Fannin, Booker T. Willis, Donald Blasingame, Charles Turner, James Price and Carey Wynn.
"Miss Howard" and her entourage were entertained by the Howard Girls Glee Club. Misses Marva Brown and Louisa Jackson who presented an interpretive dance, and Juan Thomas who favored the court with a piano selection.
The Howard Band, under the direction of T. E. Wood, rendered music in keeping with the occasion.
