Doctor's Exchange
Is Discontinued For
The Lack of Use

The Physicians' Exchange, operated here for two years by Mrs. R. C. Jones of South Dyer street for the purpose of making it more convenient for patients to get in touch with their personal doctors, was discontinued last week because of lack of use of the facilities afforded, according to report.

While the exchange was operated it was possible for a person needing medical aid to call a central office and have the call transferred to the desired physician if he could not be found at his home or office.

The usual practice was for doctors to tell the exchange operator where they were going and if they could be reached at that location by telephone; and if not, when they would be at the nearest point of wire service.
