This year the Jerome public school will have its first commencement. Four students are finishing the grammar school work, which is as far as they can go at the present time. The schools close May 25th, and the commencement will be held in the opera house on the evening of the closing day of school. The teachers and the graduating class are putting forth every effort, and arrangements are being made for an excellent program. The commencement exercises will be free to the public, and will be well worth hearing and seeing. After the exercises the hall will be cleared for the ball, which is to be given for the purpose of raising funds to pay the expenses of the entire commencement.
