Tyranny of the Church. Austria is about to concede to the demands of Rome, the right to try in her ecclesiastical courts all offences in which religion and conscience may be concerned, arising in her dominations. Austria has some seven millions of subjects who are not Roman Catholics, and this concession is protested against by them. The Servians insisted on complete liberty of worship, and why should they not enjoy it ? The tyranny of Church and State must be brought to a close all over the world, sooner or later. The time for redemption is hastening on.
