On Friday Evening last, at Old Man's Coffee-house, Charing-Cross, the Hon. William Hawley, Esq; Gentleman Usher to the Prince of Wales, James Thomson, Esq; Author of the Seasons, Dr. Armstrong, Author of the Synopsis of the Venereal Disease (abridg'd from Astruc) and of several curious Poems, Mr. Paterson, of Three King Court, Lombard-Street, Author of a Tragedy not yet published, and Mr. Sargent, Linnen-Draper, near Mercer's Chapel, were admitted Free and Accepted Masons. Richard Savage, Esq; eldest Son of the late Earl Rivers, officiated as Master, and Mr. Chavine, and Dr. Schomberg, Jun. as Wardens; after which the new-made Brethren gave an elegant Entertainment.
