NEW-YORK, January 8:

In the hard Weather we had last Monday Night, we are apprehensive much Damage has been done on our Coast; we have already heard that Capt. Kyker, in a Sloop from the West-Indies for this Port, is ashore at Squam Beach; the Crew and Cargo will be saved, & the Vessel may be got off again; a Brig and Schooner are also ashore on the South-Side of Long-Island; & by Accounts Yesterday from Flat-Bush, we learn that some People from that Place had been on board the Brig on Saturday; and as she is loaded with Coals & Butter, and supposed to be from Ireland, & that no living Person was on board her. We have not as yet been able to learn any Particulars relative to the Schooner.
