BALTIMORE, June 23.

THE FLOTILLA.

By verbal information from the Patuxent we learn, that on Tuesday last Com. Barney was lightening his vessels by landing the provisions and water, and that he had taken off their sails, spars, &c. his situation in a crooked creek surrounded by high woody banks rendering sails of little use to his vessels. He is probably preparing to repel an expected attack.

The enemy's boats and vessels having quietly and almost without any opposition removed the Tobacco from Benedict, had retired down the river without burning the Warehouse.
