Candler of Georgia.

From the Syracuse Post-Standard.

Governor Candler, of Georgia, is rapidly developing a reputation as a man of resource and determination. The way to stop a lynching, according to Governor Candler's idea, is to be on the spot where it is likely to occur, and he did so at Newnan the other day, taking command of the militia and causing the safe removal of the prisoner to the Atlanta jail. Candler would make a good army official, but he is needed more in Georgia than he is in Luzon.
