INCOMES AND GOLD WATCHES.

Davies county pays tax on fifty-nine gold watches, Gibson county, forty-seven; Posey, forty-two; Pike, twenty-four; Martin, three; Spencer, fourteen; Dubois, none; Warrick, twenty-one. The counties above named pay tax on 122 ounces of silver plate. The largest income in those counties is $10,500, and the smallest $20.

The reason why Dubois county does not show any gold watches is because they were not assessed, no deputy assessor living in the county. We know of several who own the fancy articles.
