A GOOD RULE.

We observe that the "South Carolinian" has determined to strike from its subscription list all non-paying subscribers. Next Tuesday's issue is the last number of the paper that will be sent to such delinquents. The editor of the "Carolinian," in carrying out this plan, sets an example worthy of imitation. If all of us would adopt and adhere to this course, the business of our calling would be at once more lucrative and more pleasant. It does seem to us, that, in consideration of the industry and skill manifested in the conduct of the "Carolinian," as well as from a recollection of the heavy loss sustained by its proprietor in the fire of 1853, the subscribers to this valuable journal should step forward at once, to a man, and not only pay up their dues but renew their subscriptions. It is the part of justice not to mention liberality.
