Yesterday morning a duel was fought in Portsmouth between Col. W. and Mr. H. when after discharging a case of pistols each (luckily without effect) the affair was amicably adjusted by the interference of the seconds.
Two Soldiers at Fort Norfolk, having some difference, agreed to settle it on Saturday last, with their side arms--one of them died on Sunday last of the wounds he received in the rencontre--the other, we understand is much hurt.
