Governor Pindall left last night for Southern Arkansas, where he will be for several days, says the Little Rock Gazette. He, together with Adjutant General Paul Little and Assistant Adjutant General John E. Martineau, have been working on the reorganization of the Arkansas National Guard, and the announcement of the new line of officers is expected within a short time. The chief interest centers in the appointment of a brigadier general. A Pine Bluff man has been spoken of for the place, as has a gentleman from Fort Smith. Two Little Rock men have been mentioned in this regard, one of the most capable officers, and the other one would also reflect credit upon the guard. Governor Pindall will not discuss the matter in any way, repeating the statement that the announcement will be made after the entire lineup is completed.
A medical corps is also being figured upon, and it is reported that the officials in charge of this department will be announced at the time the new line officers for the guard are appointed.
