With the graduation exercises to be held Thursday, Feb. 24, the Army Air Forces Technical School at Willow Run, the total number of students turned out for duty with units of the AAF will exceed 10,000.
To mark this event the graduation exercises will be held in the auditorium of the Ford Willow Run Bomber plant and will be attended by high officials of the Ford Motor Co., and the Army Air Forces.
The school was established in June, 1942, to train mechanics of the AAF on the B-24 Liberator bombers and engine mechanics.
This specialized training is given by the Ford Motor Co., under government contract. The soldier students receive their military training and are quartered in the AAF Technical School post where the school facilities are located, adjacent to the bomber plant.
Graduation exercises are scheduled for 1 o'clock Thursday.
