The individuals and societies who have sustained injury to their property by reason of the Philadelphia riots, which commenced in Kensington on the 6th instant, have begun to move for the purpose of being re-imbursed by the county. Suits have already been instituted to recover damages for the burning of St. Augustine's and St. Michael's churches, and for the property destroyed therewith, belonging to the respective congregations. The claims against the county, arising from this cause, will amount to a considerable sum, and will be a source of vexatious litigation for a long time to come.
