CHARLESTON.

Rev. Rex, wife and son, of Montrose, passed through town Monday.

Mrs. Peter Trump and son, Henry, were Donnellson callers Monday.

Louis Bassett was an over Sunday visitor at the R. B. Lamb home at Montrose.

Ira Johnson of near Veile passed through town Monday.

Wm. Hiler and wife spent Sunday at the Earl Junkins home, near Veile.

James Barnes spent Sunday afternoon at the Morgan Barnes home.

Miss Mabel Schiller spent Monday afternoon at the Peter Trump home.

Fritz Webber has bought the Otto Kempka property and is going to erect a new house.

Wm. Hiler and wife spent Monday at the Fred Petty home.

Eph Dyar of New Boston, passed through town Tuesday.

Mrs. Wm. Sollars and daughter, Mrs. Aditha Ashlock, visited with friends here Monday.

Jacob Hopp and wife and Fritz Weber left for Rochester, Minn., Monday evening.

Rhiney Renz returned home from South America Tuesday.

Fred Knickmeyer and wife of St. Louis, Mo., are visiting at the Joe Wahrer home.

Chris Trump of Fort Madison, was a visitor at the Peter Trump home, Friday.

The much needed rain came Wednesday and Thursday, reviving everything.

Chester Summers is visiting relatives here.

Mrs. Lucy Wallace and children of Keokuk spent Saturday evening at the John Hopp home.

Walter Bassett of Clinton Junction, Wis., is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Bassett.

Charles Schiller and children, Mabel and Carl, were Montrose callers Saturday.

Mrs. Pearl Kendall and children are visiting in Fort Madison.

There will be preaching services at the M. E. church Sunday morning and evening, May 30.

John Hopp and family were Keokuk callers Monday.

The young ladies of the Baptist Sunday school will give a social on the church lawn, Saturday evening, May 29.
