MINNESOTA.—A friend under the date of August 4th writes us from La Crosse that the crops in that new State are excellent, and that the careworn wrinkles of the past eighteen months are disappearing from the brows of the farmers. He regards the revival of good times as already begun. Land is cheap now, and will continue so for several years.

Politics run high, and despite of all frauds the Republicans will triumph in the coming election. The hearts of the people are with them. The tide of emigration from the east is setting in, and all will witness a large addition to the farming population.
