President Hoover and Patrick J. Hurley, secretary of war, were vigorously condemned for the events of "bloody Thursday" in a resolution adopted by an audience of about 200 at an open forum held at the John Reed Club, 63 West 15th St., Sunday.
"At symposium of John Reed Club, The resolution, signed by a committee consisting of H. E. Briggs and F. Shoaf, both ex-servicemen was as follows:
July 31, audience of 200, passed resolution condemning you for attack on veterans. Demand release of bonus marchers and sympathizers imprisoned and of marines jailed for refusing to fire on veterans."
A copy of the resolution was wired to President Hoover and Patrick J. Hurley.
