Sir Ralph Payne, who goes out on Thursday next Governor of the Caribbee Islands, is a West-Indian by birth, a gentleman of distinguished abilities.& married to a beautiful foreigner of a noble family, who some time ago accompanied the King of Poland's Sister on a visit to this country.

Sunday last, at a Church at the West End of the Town, the Prayers of the Congregation were desired for a disobedient Wife.

On Friday last a whimsical trial of skill, in the art of gourmandizing, was exhibited by a journeyman glover of this city and a mastiff dog: the former had laid a considerable bet that he swallowed seven pounds of tripe in less time than his canine antagonist, which he accordingly did with great ease and decency.
