Full Text
Thanksgiving. We copy again this morning the President's Proclamation setting apart to-day as a day of Thanksgiving and Prayer. It tersely narrates the many things for which we are thankful, and we are confident that a thankful spirit will present the duty of a patriotic people in this respect so clearly and eloquently. We wish our readers a pleasant day, and trust that while they partake of the luxuries with which their tables groan, that their hearts will be lifted up to the Great Giver of every good and perfect gift with thanksgiving and praise.
