Election

NEW YORK CITY ELECTION.-The Whigs and Natives both have been used up in this contest-the Native Americans particularly. Lavemeyer, the Democratic Candidate for Mayor, is elected by more than 6000 majority. The Democrats have elected 15 Aldermen and the Whigs 2-the Natives having failed to elect any. The Assistant Aldermen stand the same, 15 Democrats to 2 Whigs. Nativeism will never raise its ugly head again in N. York. A more complete triumph never crowned the efforts of the noble and sterling democrats of that city.
