Full Text

Rather Mysterious.

A week ago last Monday, August Carlson, a well-to-do rancher of Star Valley, loaded his team with hay and came to this place, putting the mules in Dorsey Bros.' livery stable. The day following he took the west bound train, saying he was going to Carlin on business, and has not been heard from in Elko, since that time. It has been ascertained that he did not stop at Carlin, and inquiry has thus far failed to elicit any information as to his present whereabouts. The stock is still standing in the livery stable quietly taking their regular rations and recuperating rest.
