Police News.— The police during Saturday night and yesterday made three arrests as follows: A man for being drunk on the streets. John Brent, colored, for disorderly conduct, and a young man from Washington for disorderly conduct on the streets. This morning the Mayor disposed of the cases as follows: The man for drunkenness was sent to jail for further examination on the 5th inst. John Brent in default of the payment of a fine of $5 was sent to the chain gang for 30 days. The young man from Washington did not put in an appearance, and forfeited $5 he deposited with the station house authorities yesterday to secure his release until this morning.
