The Fall Term of the Circuit Superior Court of Jefferson commenced its session on Saturday last, Judge Green B. Samuels of Shenandoah, presiding. But few men in this Commonwealth are so eminently fitted for the Bench, as this distinguished jurist, and a proud distinction in judicial promotion yet awaits him. He presides over the deliberations of the Court with great dignity, is ready and prompt to answer every controverted point, is untiring and indefatigable in labor, and of even temperament and quick discernment.
The business of the Court will not be of any unusual importance, and its routine of duties will be much interfered with during the week by the elections. It is the intention of the Judge, we learn, to continue the Court during the week, for the trial of Chancery causes.
