Sioux Falls Press: On the grounds that carnival companies are not desirable entertainments, and that this has been proved in Sioux Falls by past experiences, the club women of the city are circulating a petition to the city commission asking it to refuse to grant licenses to carnival companies to hold their shows in the city. It was the club women who joined with other citizens in objecting to fakirs accompanying the last carnival that was here and the women are determined in their opposition to permitting similar attractions to visit the city.
