Dr. Owen Discharged.-The White Pine News of June 2 says:

The examination of Dr. J. R. N. Owen for the killing of Richard N. Allen was concluded yesterday, before Justice B. K. Davis, of Township No. 2, and resulted in establishing the act as justifiable homicide. The evidence of a long list of witnesses examined substantiated the facts given by us the morning following that on which the shooting occurred. After the arguments were concluded Judge Davis remarked that the case had been gone into fully, three days occupied in hearing evidence, and the fullest latitude allowed on both sides; that he (the Justice) had listened attentively to the evidence and weighed it well, but had seen nothing in it which would justify him in holding defendant. Dr. Owen was then discharged.
