The following is a statement, from the official returns, of the vote at the different precincts in this county, on Monday last, on the proposition to authorize the Board of Police to issue bonds to the amount of one hundred thousand dollars for stock in the Canton and Jackson Rail Road.

Whole number of votes necessary 534. In justice to the Canton precinct we state that of the five votes there polled against the Rail Road, two were from Vernon, one from Madisonville and one from Sharon.
