Moral Wave While the Legislature is in Session.

A dispatch from Olympia says: The lid is on in Olympia. Word was passed out yesterday that all games being conducted in the rooms back of bars must stop and before night all of the places had taken to cover.

All manner of gambling, roulette, poker, blackjack and high card opened in the rear of saloons a few days in advance of the opening of the legislature and continued until last night.

The places were operated as club rooms and only people who took out cards were allowed to enter, a watchman standing guard at the door. The card proclaimed the holder to be the owner of stock in the club.

The action was taken by the local authorities on the instigation of the anti-saloon league.
