During the 13th, 14th and 15th of last month a State Convention of the Fenian Brotherhood held session in San Francisco. The following were the permanent officers, viz: President, Capt. John Foley: Vice Presidents, Martin Corcoran and M. O'Reilly: Secretaries, Wm. Farrall and Frank Mahon. The books and accounts of the Finance Committee were found to be correct; the proceedings of the Philadelphia Fenian Congress were approved; a Committee of Conference to effect a union with the other branch of the Fenian organization on this coast was appointed, and a resolution was adopted by which the Brotherhood stand pledged to use no goods of English manufacture when American goods can be obtained. The following gentlemen were elected to conduct the affairs of the Brotherhood: John Hamill, Esq., State Center. Miles D. Sweeny, State Treasurer. State Central Council-Messrs. M. Turpey, Watsonville: Wm. P. Dougherty, San Jose: P. W. Dillon, Benicia: James McGuire, Sacramento: John Hussey, Nevada county; M. O'Reilly, Sierra county; James Meehan, Amador county: James Dolan, Tuolumne county; San Francisco-Messrs. Foley, Mahon, McMurray, Harold, Dunleavy. And after votes of thanks to the officers and others, after a very harmonious session, the Convention adjourned sine die.
