Japanese
forces in the Aleutians
will find the attacks of Canadian
and United States airmen "more
and more frequent, less and less
welcome," Elmer Davis, director of
the Office of War Information, said
today.
Addressing a Victory Loan lunch-
eon here on the opening day of
the
campaign to raise $750,000,000
by
voluntary subscriptions.
Davis
said that "it is not of defense that
either
you
or
we
are
thinking
these days.
"We are much more interested in
attack."
