By a Master of a Vessel lately arrived from Quebec, who in his Passage put into Halifax: and thro' Stress of Weather on Friday last put into Wells, we are informed, That while he was at Halifax, a Vessel arrived there in Six Weeks from Cork, the Master of which declared (which was confirmed by the public News-Papers from thence) That it was there reported, the Prussians and Austrians had lately had a General ENGAGEMENT under their respective Leaders, the KING and Count Daun, that the Prussians obtained a compleat VICTORY, had killed and taken Ten or Twelve Thousand of the Enemy, together with most of their Artillery and Baggage, with inconsiderable Loss to themselves; and said, that considering all Circumstances, 'tis thought to be equal to any Victory they have obtained during the present War. Vessels are daily expected from Halifax with the public Prints, which contain a particular Account of this grand Affair.
