Full Text

BURGLARY.—We are informed that the
house of Elizabeth Morton, on Race street,
Lewisburg, was broken open, last Friday
evening, probably between 8 and 9 o'clock,
when there was a light seen in it by two
persons who had just moved to town.
Elizabeth had been absent for some time,
but returning the next day, found the back
door open, her cupboard and house generally
plundered, a crock of lard missing,
also a set of silver tea-spoons (unmarked)
belonging to her niece, and several dollars
in money—all she had. It will be well
for our citizens to keep a little extra watch,
and use additional means of securing their
premises.
