Full Text

Bud Sharpe likes his position as coach at the Milledgeville Academy. He has invited his comrades to call at the academy so that he may show them some future major league stars. Schlafly was at Milledgeville when the gang arrived. He looks well, and told Manager Wolverton that he would play better baseball for him than he did last season for Toronto. Wolverton expects great things from the former Canadian player.

"An Excellent Infield"--Wolverton.
During a conversation with a local baseball enthusiast, Manager Wolverton said that he was new to the Eastern League, but he would predict that he would have an infield that could not be excelled and that the pitchers looked very good to him.

Awaiting McGinnity.
The arrival of McGinnity is anxiously awaited by Milledgeville people, who have never had a glimpse of the famous twirler or saw him in action. It is figured that the same feeling will pervade throughout the Eastern League circuit, and that Joe will prove to be one of the best drawing cards ever in the Pat Powers combine. Jake Gettman and Stroud are expected to arrive tomorrow, so that by Monday it is expected that there will be no absentees.

Stallings Expected.
All are well and happy. The weather is ideal when one considers the atmospheric conditions in Newark and its vicinity. Soon it will be possible to give more entertaining information concerning the players. It is expected that Manager Stallings, of the Highlanders, will be among the early arrivals in Milledgeville to meet Joe McGinnity. Stallings's team is training at Macon.

Diamond in Good Shape.
The diamond here is a good one, the outfield is in good condition, and from present indications the place meets all of the requirements of training quarters. Already the squad are crying for northern newspapers. News from home will be eagerly awaited.
