At President's Home
The Laurel Woman's club met Monday at the home of the president, Mrs. O. R. Burdett, with roll call responses consisting of facts pertaining to "Origin of Our Ancestors." Mrs. H. A. Carlisle exhibited portions of a uniform worn by one of her ancestors in the war of 1812.
Mrs. R. J. Rosselot reported that the final figure on the sale of Christmas seals for the Montana Tuberculosis association was $710.
Mrs. C. B. Calvert gave a resume of the life of "Sacajawea of the Shoshones," a book by Della Gould Emmons. During her talk she recited some interesting facts concerning historical landmarks in the vicinity of Laurel and Park City. She also exhibited pictures of the burial place of Sacajawea.
The next meeting of the club will be Feb. 18 at the home of Mrs. Calvert for the annual pot-luck luncheon.
Following the meeting last Monday, Mrs. Burdett served delicious refreshments.
