HATTERAS PERSONALS
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Oden were in Elizabeth City last week, where Mr. Oden received medical treatment.
Mrs. Lizzie Austin returned home last week. She was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Amerson, (the former Annie Florence Gaskill) of Norfolk, Va.
Mr. and Mrs. Horton Austin were in Manteo last week where Mrs. Austin received medical treatment. Also Mrs. Emeline Austin who had been bitten by a dog.
Mrs. Jerry Gaskins and sons are spending some time, with her in-laws. Mr. and Mrs, H. T. Gaskins. Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Schweir attended a wedding in Baltimore over the week end.
Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Burrus and children have moved to Norfolk where they will make their home for some time.
The Bible Class met at the home of Mrs. William Gibson Friday night. The members had been divided in two groups, Marys and Marthas. The Martha group won the Bible contest. Mrs. Delores Burrus and Mrs. Juanita Peele were in charge of the devotion. The subject being Brotherhood in Christ. "There is no East nor West" was sung. Also the theme song. "I'll go Where You Want Me to Go." Closing prayer by Maude Austin.
A plate of ham, fruit salad pickles, potato chips, chocolate cake and coffee was served. There were twenty people present. Mrs. Ellen Austin, Mrs. Maude Austin, Mrs. Eleanora Austin, Mrs. Delores Burrus. Mrs. Minnie Burrus, Mrs. Ruth Byrd, Mrs. Velma Stowe, Mrs. Alivia Stowe. Mrs. Evelyn Styron, Ms. Ina Fulcher, Mrs. Aichal Oden, Mrs. Pauline Oden. Mrs. Hazel Foster. Mrs. Kathryn Midgette, Mrs. Mary Mc Carthy, Mrs. Maude Job. Mrs. Iucy Willis, Mrs. Hilda Brown, Mrs. Juanita Peele.
