The Cloverdale Luther League had a most enjoyable outing at the Yellow Banks of the St. Croix Sunday. At noon all partook of the picnic dinner around the fire. Football and various other games occupied most of the afternoon. It began raining at four o'clock so everyone scampered for their cars. They all adjourned looking and hoping for more times like this.
Arnold and Willie Beach of New Hartford and John Schumacker of Southridge were week-end visitors at P. A. Wolter's. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Larson and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Ole Olson and Carl Larson of Sandstone visited at Edwin Rodeen's Sunday. Charlie Steinborn and a friend, Mr. Therren, visited at August Steinborn's over the week-end. He is a brother of Mr. Steinborn. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Dalzell, Mr. and Alva Hemming, and Mr. and Mrs. John Christianson and family visited at Edwin Rodeen's Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Campbell have now moved into their new home. Roland Haberg, agriculture teacher at Sandstone, visited at the Hemming home Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. George Steen and family visited at Jesse Forncrook's Sunday. Ora Millhouse caught a wolf Saturday. A large crowd was present at the Ladies' Aid at the Abrahamson home last Thursday. Lawrence and Russell Chollett and Emery Wolter left Monday morning for Ringsted, Iowa, to pick corn. Leonard Steen left Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Sam May and Clarence Hemming visited at A. Steinborn's Saturday evening. Adolph Anderson visited Mr. Hemming Saturday evening. D. Carlson of Danforth is breaking land in this vicinity with tractor. Mrs. P. A. Wolter and Lorna and Mrs. Pete Klynstra and Herbie were on a business trip to Sandstone Saturday.
