POST-CORONATION ARDUOUS PROGRAM FOR KING GEORGE AND QUEEN MARY FOR THIS WEEK.

London, June 26.—King George and Queen Mary returned today from Portsmouth to be confronted with a program of social functions and festivities that will make the week almost as arduous as that of the coronation. Among the more important of the royal engagements for the week are the gala performance at Covent Garden Opera House tonight, the garden party at Buckingham Palace tomorrow afternoon and the Shakespearian ball and gala performance at His Majesty's Theater in the evening, a visit to the Royal Agricultural Show on Wednesday, the procession through London, the thanksgiving service at St. Paul's and the official reception and luncheon in the Guildhall on Thursday, the children's fete at Crystal Palace and the dinner by the Prime Minister on Friday, and the departure for Windsor on Saturday.
