The state board of control for vocational education today announced expansion of the St. Clair Shores apprentice training program to include Van Dyke and East Detroit.

The board also approved a home making course for Hartland in Livingston county and a basic agriculture program for the National Youth Administration at Michigan State College.

The NYA program will include courses in animal husbandry, farm practice and farm management.

The work, already under way in St. Clair Shores, embraces a variety of courses intended to fit adults for absorption in national defense industries. Among other courses are ones in metalwork, lathe operations, etc.
