WHY HE WILL VOTE WET.
A good citizen of this county declared to the writer the other day, that he was going to vote wet solely on account of the tax question. He admitted that the open saloon is a great evil in the state, but he was going to vote wet all the same. Here was a man who hadn't stopped to think. Is it right for the State to license an evil? Taxes or no taxes this is the only question, Is the sale of liquor in open saloon an evil of a good thing? If an evil then how can it be justified upon any consideration of revenue?
