One Dead And Two Injured In Explosion.
"Big" John Will Skinner and son, Elmer and brother, Arthur were fishing above New Frankfort Wednesday of last week when a stick of dynamite held by John Will Skinner exploded sooner than he thought it would and while he still held it in his hand intending to let it down into the water.
The explosion set off five other sticks in his pocket and the result was that Mr. Skinner was literally blown to pieces.
His body was horribly mangled.
His brother and son were also badly shocked the latter it is thought probably fatally.
The remains were laid to rest in Good Hope cemetery.
A widow and five children are left to mourn his death.
It is illegal to fish with explosives and Mr. Skinner certainly received severe punishment for his acts.
