Prejudice against western Nebraska potatoes is so strong in the southeastern part of the state as to present a serious hindrance to the campaign urging people to buy their winter's supply now, according to J. O. Shroyer of the extension service of the University of Nebraska college of agriculture, who recently visited many of the towns in six southeastern counties. Mr. Shroyer found that commission men representing potatoes grown outside of Nebraska have been poisoning the minds of people and dealers by knocking on the quality of Nebraska spuds.
